What does residential treatment mean and who is it perfect for?

by Maria A. Vu

Residential program as per its name, it is for people that are in the extreme cases of drug and alcohol or any other kind of addiction. Make no mistake about it, the treatment program is for all kinds of addictions, whether that addiction stems from gaming, shopping, eating, sex, or any other obsession that is ruining your everyday life.

Residential program by Seven Arrows Recovery is a program that offers a round the clock protection and treatment in an environment that is far away from the hospital-type environment. The residential treatment program has many names, the first name that is the most popular is called the inpatient treatment program, the second name by what it is called is the partial hospitalization program. In the inpatient treatment program, the patient is lodged inside the center for an indefinite period of time, this period of time can be from 30 days to 90 days, or it could go on until there is evident improvement in the state of the addiction that the patient is going through.

Furthermore, in the inpatient treatment program, there are lots of other additional programs integrated into it, there is the therapy programs such as the individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and many others such as the 12-step program. It is an all-inclusive program that has all kinds of different techniques and methods as well as the nurses and the doctors all working together around the clock to make sure that the patient is cured as soon as possible.

When it comes to the partial hospitalization program, which is quite similar to the inpatient treatment program, the patient is allowed to be admitted into a remote facility that is similar to a suburban area of living. The whole goal of the partial hospitalization program offered by Seven Arrows Recovery is to make sure that the patient is getting that home-like environment that they need. Some people do not like the closed white doors and walls of the rehab centers; therefore, the partial hospitalization took root and was created in hopes that the change in environment will lead to a change in the treatment’s result and that is exactly what happens to people who are not getting the results out of all the other forms of treatment program.

Now comes the question as to who is the most in need for an inpatient treatment program or for a partial hospitalization program?

To know that one needs to know the following signs:

  • Any person that is starting to or has been having issues and problems due to the abuse and misuse of the substances that are illegal or legal but taken in abundance than they are in need of an extreme form of treatment program such as the inpatient treatment program or partial hospitalization program.
  • Anyone that has severe SUD (Substance Use Disorder) which means that anyone who takes drugs and alcohol or anything that they are addicted to for more than the usual amount as recommended.
  • Anyone that has a number of additional problems pertaining to their mental health issues than that person is to be given the residential rehab treatment program. These mental issues can be depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many others underlying health problems. Usually, in majority of the cases, the treatment of the mental health issue is the only thing that can help a person recover from their addiction.

Therefore, in order to check if you are someone that might be in need of the residential treatment rehab program for your addiction-related issues as well as mental issues then you should get treatment as soon as possible at Seven Arrows Recovery center to help cure your addiction and set yourself on the right path.
